Emma

Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson, was born in Paris France of British parents Jacqueline Luesby Watson and Chris Watson both lawyers. When she was a kid she was enrolled in the Dragon School in Oxfordshire. At the age of six, Emma knew that she wanted to be an actress and for many years she studied at the Oxford branch of Stagecoach Theatre Arts a part-time theatre school where she studied singing dancing and acting. At the age of 10 years old, Emma took part in many Stagecoach plays and productions. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2000) the movie version of J.K. Rowling's bestselling British novel began casting in 1999. Emma was discovered through Emma's Oxford Theater instructor. David Heyman, the producer of Harry Potter Harry Potter's Sorcerer's Stone and Ron Weasley told Emma after eight auditions that she had been chosen for these characters. She was cast alongside Daniel Radcliffe Rupert Grint and Rupert Grint. Emma's first film on the screen came in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone which was released in 2001. It broke all records in the opening day sales as well as opening week-end take-offs and was the highest-grossing film of the year 2001. Critics gave high praise to the film and particularly those who were young. The Daily Telegraph, an influential British paper, called Emma's performance "amazing". Emma's performance was nominated and won five awards later for the movie.
