Alexandra Maria Lara, a Romanian and German actor who is employed in TV and film is most well-known for her roles in films like Rush and Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. As the only child of Romanian actor Valentin Platareanu, Alexandra got into the world of show business early, and ended up playing lead roles in different television dramas by the time she reached the age of 16. Her critically acclaimed performance in the television film Der Tunnel paved way for many other noteworthy roles, including the secretary of Adolf Hitler Traudl Junge in the critically and commercially popular Oscar nominated war-time drama film Downfall. The Reader, Der Baader Meinhof Komplex and The Reader are also Oscar-nominated movies featuring this diva. Alexandra is known for her participation in a variety of noteworthy projects both domestically as well as internationally. This includes the British biographical feature Control Greek dramatic film The Dust of Time French historical Miniseries Napoleon as well as other. She was also an official juror for the Transylvania International Film Festival as in The Cannes Film Festival.
